Following Gospel teachings, Catholic Charities Community Services strives to ensure everyone in our community has what is necessary to live a dignified, human life: food, shelter, clothing, access to medical care and more. We seek to satisfy these needs because we believe you have a right to what is fundamental to survival and because we wish to provide a holistic foundation to help you move toward a better life.
Our programs:
↑ Back to All ServicesHunger does not discriminate — it affects the elderly, working families, veterans, immigrants, the disabled and, worst of all, children. In New York State, studies found that 21.4 percent of households with children suffer from food hardship. If you find yourself relying on food pantries and community kitchens to survive, CCCS is here to help.
Our programs:
↑ Back to All ServicesFrom reuniting with loved ones, obtaining work authorization, to avoiding exploitation, we are here to help our newest neighbors get proper footing.
Our programs:
↑ Back to All ServicesA home is the foundation for stability — but skyrocketing housing prices and low wages result in evictions and homelessness for growing numbers of children, individuals and families. Catholic Charities Community Services is here to help you if you’re facing eviction or other housing troubles.
Our programs:
↑ Back to All ServicesHousing Support Services provides help and creates hope by accompanying our neighbors, providing community engagement and comprehensive case management services with compassion, to the residents of Catholic Charities-affiliated housing developments, accompanying them in their daily lives and not only during times of crisis, helping them to alleviate burdens and remove barriers, so they can create a better future for themselves and their communities.
We are currently serving the following developments:
- Betances Houses – 1088 units (Mott Haven, Bronx)
- Grand Street Guild – 835 units (Lower East Side, Manhattan)
- Highbridge CDC – 723 units (Highbridge, Bronx)
- Second Farms – 319 units (West Farms, Bronx)
Our programs:
↑ Back to All ServicesA safe, supportive home is fundamental for treatment and recovery from mental illness. The Beacon of Hope Division of CCCS provides a continuum of housing opportunities to people struggling with Serious Mental Illness. If you need help, we’re here to assist.
Our programs:
↑ Back to All ServicesAll children deserve the opportunity to develop social skills, gain confidence and develop lasting values that will serve them as adults. Catholic Charities Community Services’ Alianza and CYO programs address the educational, physical, and developmental needs of children and their families.
Our programs:
↑ Back to All ServicesWith our thriving neighborhood centers, our goal is to provide help for individuals and families in need, and create hope. The best way to do this? Through the power of your own community. Find your neighborhood center.
Our programs:
